A tiny, undesirable group of refuges?

As the Asteroid world of New Eden or Eden for short slowly orbits its star, a deportation ceremony is underway. Surrounded by hundreds of heavily armed troops that are dressed in green camouflage, twenty-five unlucky people, mostly females are boarding a nice space shuttle. The public felt that if these people have to leave their world, and most likely face some kind of horrible fate, then at the very least their shuttle should be pleasant to live. As the undesirables board the shuttle-craft, a bureaucrat is standing on a nearby stage, giving a bull crap speech about self-sacrifice to a large, naive civilian crowed, and the public bought it.

The shuttle is the size of a 1950’s DC-10 passenger airplane, but it looks more like a large ocean going fishing vessel. This light colored ship has no pilot, it is run entirely by computer, and it is completely automated, with few defenses if any. There is no crew on board, just some robots, and the ship’s main computer. As the twenty-five reluctant passengers sit in their seats, the shuttle-craft lifts off and leaves Eden, never to return.

Now moving through space, away from Eden at three times the speed of light, or warp 3, the passengers who are the only humans on board, get out of their seats and have a look around. The passengers look out of a window, and see…
