Velvet was so sick of Cardin Winchester. He was nothing more than a bully and an oppressor. She just so happen to have the misfortune of being his favorite target. Well... Maybe not his favorite, he did seem to enjoy giving that Jaune boy a hard time. But that was beside the point, he was just an all around jerk that got off on making everyone else miserable.
The reason he had singled her out however, was due to her status as a faunus. Because she was born with rabbit ears on her head, he had taken it upon himself to be as much of an ass as possible. She'd done nothing to him, she'd never even exchanged a simple greeting with him. Yet he still felt the need to remind her that he was someone she should watch out for.
It wasn't right.
Velvet wasn't a mean girl, in fact most people who knew her well enough could tell she didn't have a single mean bone in her body. Even when her teammates had offered to rough up the ignorant boy, she talked them down. Her leader Coco wasn't happy, but in the end she and the rest of team CVFY could only respect Velvet's decision.
But, even the kindest of people can only be pushed so far. Cardin had taken her kindness for weakness, a mistake most people are taught not to make. Because Velvet didn't fight back, the leader of team CRDL thought he could do whatever he pleased to her without any repercussions.
Wrong!
Unknown to him, he had finally managed to due the near impossible. Make. Velvet. Angry! He had managed to achieve this great feat during lunch when he had committed the greatest sin against her. He'd upgraded from simple taunts and name calling to physical assault. Cardin Winchester made the biggest mistake of his short life when he grabbed her ears.
Even when she begged him to stop, he only laughed in her face. He pulled and pulled until he managed to make her cry in front o the whole cafeteria. It didn't matter to him that he hurt and embarrassed her. It only served to make him feel superior.
That's when Velvet knew she finally had enough!
Cardin needed to be taught a lesson. The teachers clearly weren't going to give it to him! So it was all down to her to teach him a lesson he'd never forget. For the first time in her life, Velvet was going to entertain the idea of an eye for an eye. She was going to get even. She was going to make Cardin understand what it felt like to be small... Literally.
It took weeks of planning, but she finally had everything she needed to get her revenge. Unfortunately for the rest of team CFVY, they weren't invited to the party. That extended to the rest of team CRDL as well. It would be just her and her long time oppressor. Velvet lost track of how long she spent shadowing Cardin. Learning his patterns and mannerism. At this point she felt like she knew her bully better than her own teammates.
That didn't matter though, today was the day she'd brake Cardin Winchester. Everything was set up smoothly. First she'd lure Cardin away, deep into the Emerald Forest where no cameras would see them, and no scroll signal could reach the academy. Next she'd bust out her secret weapon. She did feel guilty about stealing it from the Schnee girl, but what she didn't know wouldn't hurt her. Then... The fun would begin. All Velvet had to do was wait.
After about an hour of waiting a familiar voice came calling through the Emerald Forest. "Hello!? Nikos!? You out here!? I got your text!"
Velvet couldn't help but giggle from behind her hiding spot. As if the 'invincible girl' would ever be interested in him.
Cardin heard the rustling of a nearby bush and smirked. "Hey babe! That you?"
It was showtime.
Instead of being greeted by the idol of Beacon Academy, he was greeted by the rabbit of Vale. "What are you doing here flopsy?" he asked in annoyance.
Velvet merely smiled. "Who? Me? I called you here. Did you really think you were coming here to see Pyrrha? You're not her type."
Cardin growled in anger, he'd been duped. He quickly regained his composure however and gave the brunette a cocky grin. "So you called me out here? All by yourself? No teammates? That wasn't very smart." Yes he came unarmed like the text said, but he didn't need a mace to put this animal in her place. "I guess I'm gonna have to teach you another lesson, flopsy."
Much to his surprise, the rabbit didn't look worried or scared at all. In fact she was unnervingly calm. Velvet simply shook her head and stared back at her school bully who had yet grasp the severity of his situation. "You know I'm a year ahead of you correct. That makes me your upperclassmen."
"Your point?"
"As an upperclassmen it's my duty to look out for underclassmen. So now I'm going to educate you. I'm going to learn you a lesson in respect." Velvet declared.
Cardin simply cracked his knuckles. "I've heard enough out of you. Now it's go time."
"I couldn't agree more." Velvet then pulled a vial of pitch black dust from behind her back. "Now I'll educate you." Velvet smashed the dust vial on the ground beneath her and Cardin could only look on in confusion as one of his favorite puppies to kick was engulfed by the dark mist. All he could hear was the sound of Velvets frantic coughs and soon broke out in hysterical laughter. He didn't need to do a damn thing. The stupid animal would defeat herself.
His laughter soon halted when another sound reached his ear. The sound if something tearing. It was then he noticed the coughing ceased and instead the tearing sound continued on. Just what was happening in that mist?
Cardin quickly wished he didn't know. Deep inside the mist Velvet had managed to stop coughing but it still felt as if her lungs were on fire. Honestly her whole body felt as if it was heating up. Then she felt a tingling sensation deep within her gut. The first thing she felt was the tightness of her school uniform on her body. She could feel the very fabric holding it together being strained to the limit as her body began to expand.
The fabric began to tear in all sorts of places and she could feel her shoes instantly give out as they were torn asunder. Her uniform tore completely now, leaving her as bare as the day she entered the world. Thankfully she thought to not wear any underwear in preparation for today. She could soon see over the black mist as everything around her seemed to move farther and farther away. She just kept climbing and climbing until the trees could barely reach her knees.
Cardin stood wide-eyed, mouth agape at the sight. That puny little rabbit faunus just underwent one hell of a growth spurt. When she finally did stop growing, Cardin for the first time in his life felt a sense of real fear around the rabbit faunus.
"Wow. I didn't think I'd get this big." Velvet said in awe of her new size. She could see over every tree and almost over the mountains. As she looked around marveling at the view, a small little 'bug' came into her field of vision. That bug was none other the whimpering form of Cardin Winchester who had fallen flat on his backside. That was when she remembered what she was here for. "So tell me!" her voice boomed. "How does it feel to be so small?"
Cardin couldn't answer, he was far to scared.
"Now then! Let the lesson begin."  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
