"Morning, Jeff," Mariella said cheerfully, clearly familiar with her new identity. "Did you sleep well?"
Jeff stared, wide-eyed. "This… this is real? You… you're really Mariella now?"
Mariella nodded, her voice warm and familiar. "Yeah. I think so. Everything feels… natural. Like I’ve always been this way."
Jeff hesitated but then nodded slowly, a mix of awe and uncertainty swirling inside him. The email had promised it could change reality—did that mean he had truly altered everything? And more importantly, was this change permanent?
They sat together, sharing breakfast—pancakes, fruit, and juice—just like any ordinary morning. Mariella chatted animatedly about her morning routine, her voice full of the same humor and spirit Mark always had. Jeff watched her, feeling both guilty and amazed at what he’d created.
As they ate, Jeff wondered what other surprises awaited in this new reality—and whether he was ready to face the consequences of his experiment.
