The hippo grunts loudly in a tone that sounds a lot like laughter as you stand on her tongue and look around the inside of her mouth. The sounds that turn into actual laughter that rings in your ears and the hippo's grunting then turns into a more feminine yet still deep voiced tone as the hippo's mouth cracks open slightly. You try to run towards the opening but the tongue stretches back and you fall on the saliva as you look forward and see the hippo's throat ahead of you. It is here the hippopotamus does something that really catches you by surprise. She speaks.
"Well, well, well. A shrunken human. I haven't seen one of these in a while. Oh well, it doesn't matter anyway. All inch-high humans end up as yummies in my tummy. That's all they exist for. And you, my tiny delicious friend, taste most exquisite. I wish all humans would shrink down as big as you so I can eat them all. Well, no use delaying the inevitable, down the lips, past the gums, into the stomach where my fat you'll become." You scream and try to run but the hippo slams her jaw shut and then pulls back her tongue to throw you into her throat right before she tilts back her head.
The hippopotamus gives a big gulp and you're reduced to a screaming bulge going down her obese and virtually non-existent neck, where-upon you land with a splash in her belly. You look around and see you are waist-deep in the stomach juices and it's so dark that you can barely see your hands. The stomach appears to go on for miles. It was here you had a horrified realization. You were food in a hippo's belly.
Outside, the hippopotamus that swallowed you gives a loud belch right before she licks her mouth and fangs. She waddles down into the water to digest you. Inside the stomach, the hippo's movements rock about and you're splashed with tides of stomach juice. You await your fate and wonder when you'll be melted down and digested but after five minutes, the stomach acids don't even do anything to break you down. You're wondering what happened and then you realize something. The stomach acids have no effect on you. You breathe a sigh of relief. But then you gasp and swim through the acid to the stomach wall and bang your fists as hard as you can.
"Let me out! Help! Somebody get me out of here! I've been eaten by this hippo!" The hippo feels you beating on her stomach walls and grunts. "Huh?" She then looks and sees tiny bumps appearing on her back thigh and then twitches her ears. "Let me out! I don't want to be hippo food!" The hippo then realizes what is going on and drops her jaw. "He's still alive? Usually they're digested by now. Pipe down in there!" You hear the hippo's voice and fall down into the stomach juice. "Who-Who's that?" The hippo grunts. "Who do you think, stupid? I must say, this is the first time I've encountered food that tries to escape." "Let me out! This isn't funny! Hippos don't even eat me!"
The hippo simply lets out another belch that forces you to plug your ears to avoid going deaf. "Once in a blue moon. So, you want to escape. You know what they say when you get swallowed by a hippo; run around until you're all..." "Let me out!" you yell as you pound again. The hippo lets out a sigh. "Fine. The second you see the light. Go for it." The hippo opens her mouth wide and you look out to see the exit. You waste no time in swimming rapidly through the slime and climbing into the esophagus. Since it was straight and open you could make it to the mouth and onto the tongue." But just as you're about to exit the mouth, it slams shut again and the hippo pulls back her tongue. You scream as the hippo tilts her head back and swallows you again.
Once more you land into the slimy ocean that it the hippo's stomach. The hippo burps again and lets out a laugh. "Sucker." "That's not fair!" "Well, tough," says the hippo. "There are only three ways out of your prison. My mouth, the birth canal and... well, you know. But I'll let you out, eventually. When I decide it. I find it amusing that you can't be digested. Unfortunately for you, I'm the only one who can hear you." You let out a groan as you climb upon a piece of pumpkin meat to get out of the slime.
"Here is how it's going to work," says your captor as she licks her lips. "You are going to live in my stomach until I decide to let you out through any exit I decide. Until then, in order to survive, you only need to eat everything I eat." You give a gulp and sweat. You didn't want to have to survive on half-digested hippo food but you have no choice and let out a sigh. "I understand." The hippo smirks and giggles to herself outside. "Good little human snack. 1 last thing. As long as you're going to be living in my stomach, I want you to address me as..."
