This choice: Cressida begins her task. • Go Back...Chapter #6"Your Best" Isn't Good Enough by: DragoTime   It was certainly a hard task. Getting people to like someone who would damn them if they so much as sang out of tune is never easy. Days turned to weeks, which turned to months, but still Cressida could still not get the people of Earth to love God.
"And so I say to you people," Cressida shouted during mass. "That God is not one to be feared. Simply love him, and the rewards will be great. But continue on these sinful paths of hatred, and punishment is assured." Suddenly the crowd gasped, and Cressida saw that two angels in black robes had appeared behind her. Everyone knew who they were; God's secret police, who took sinners away for "punishment". They grabbed hold of Cressida's arms, and one leaned in to her ear.
"God is displeased with you," he said in a horrific voice.
"What?! No!" Cressida exclaimed, filled with terror. "I've been completely loyal to God! Please, no!"
"Mass...dismissed," said the other angel as they teleported away with Cressida.
The angels carried Cressida into God's throne room, where they threw her down onto the hard floor, before proceeding to beat her.
"Enough!" Cressida heard the voice of God shout, and the angels stopped beating her. She didn't even have the strength to look up at him. "Do you know why you're hear, you worthless mortal?"
"Because I have failed you Lord," Cressida replied in terrified tears.
"I gave you a simple task," Barry said, anger evident in his voice. "I told you to get the people of this sinful planet to love me."
"I-I tried my best," Cressida cried.
"SO WHY DO THEY NOT LOVE ME!?" Barry shouted, causing the ground to shake. "YOU CLAIM TO BE LOYAL TO ME! SO WHY HAVE YOU NOT DONE AS I COMMANDED!?" Cressida was in floods of tears at this point.
"I'm sorry Lord!" She cried. "I'll do better next time!"
"It saddens me that YOU are my most loyal follower, yet you cannot even fulfill such a simple task," Barry said, sitting back down on his throne. "I require time to think about this. In the mean time, take Cressida down to hell."
"Please Lord! Have mercy!" Cressida begged.
"SILENCE!" Barry shouted. "Les your punishment be a million times more severe!" The two angels in black picked Cressida up, and carried her off to suffer in hell.
That night, Barry was laid in bed, with Samantha cuddled up to him.
"I don't know what to do Sam," Barry said.
"Well...maybe you were a bit harsh on Cressida honey," Samantha said to him.
"What do you mean?"
"Well, she is only human after all. It's very hard to convince people to love someone who deals out such harsh punishments."
"Sam, it is what they deserve. What I need to do is show them this."
"Of course you do, but how? They're only human, and don't understand that worshipping us is good. Perhaps if you added a reward, rather than just a punishment. Everyone who worships us gets to have a powerful orgasm?"
"No Sam, that's stupid," Barry said. "They don't deserve such pleasures. The only thing to do is to punish them more. All they have now is the threat of punishment. But if we actually punish them, then they will know that worshipping us is the thing to do."
"That's good honey," Samantha said, kissing her divine husband. "Why should they get out of worshipping you?"
The next day, everyone gathered in the holy temple, and were scared. They'd seen Cressida be taken away, and were all worried about what would happen to them.
"SILENCE!" They heard a female voice shouted, and they were all instantly quiet. At the front of the temple, they saw the holy wife and daughters appear. Everyone quickly got on their knees before them.
"That's it, bow before us you pathetic mortals!" Becky laughed evilly.
"God is VERY displeased with you," Laura said. "Just look what happened to the so called 'righteous priestess'." Everyone gasped as they saw Cressida appear, naked and beaten.
"Tell them about what happened to you," Becky said to the beaten priestess, as the angels picked Cressida up. "NOW!"
"It was...horrible..." Cressida said. "The agony...it didn't end..."
"This is what happens when God is displeased," Samantha said. "And now, because you refused to love him, you will all suffer." There was a flash of lightning, and Barry appeared with his family.
"I WAS PATIENT!" He shouted. "I GAVE YOU THE CHANCE TO ALL LOVE ME! BUT NOW THAT OPPORTUNITY HAS PASSED!" He raised his hands, and all their bodies, apart from his own, his family's, the angels' and Cressida's, were engulfed in holy fire. Humanity screamed out in agony as they burned for hours and hours, before the fire ended, their bodies back to normal.
"THIS IS MY WRATH!" Barry continued. "UNLESS YOU ALL LOVE ME, THESE PUNISHMENTS SHALL BE HORRIBLE AND MANY! BUT THOSE WHO LOVE ME SHALL RECEIVE GREAT REWARDS!" As he said this, Samantha, Becky and Laura moaned out in orgasm for several more hours.
When it was done, Barry conjured up his and his family's thrones, and they sat in them.
"Now then Cressida, I believe you have a mass to lead," Barry said. "NOW!"   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
