"You're such a baby" he taunts, cornering you at playtime. "I bet you still wet the bed."
"I do not!" you deny, crossing your arms and flashing him a defiant stare.
He laughs, pushing you back. You stumble, uncrossing your arms, but manage to steady yourself - avoiding falling in the mud.
"Do too! You're so weak. Your mum probably still wipes your bottom for you when you sit on the potty!"
You growled, wanting desperately to hit him back, or say something or even run away. But he was bigger than you, you couldn't think of anything - and there was nowhere to run.
"And I bet you suck your thumb, and sleep in a crib, and..."
"Stop lying!" you scream, but he only keeps laughing. Mercifully, you hear the whistle blow to call you back inside to the classroom. You line up behind Henry, waiting to file back inside.
"You're too much of a baby to come in here" laughs Henry, pushing you back again "Go back to the preschool."
"I DO NOT go to the preschool!" you hiss, only to be interrupted by a loud shush from Miss Harris.
"Daniel! No talking!"
Miss Harris was mean. Well, she wasn't mean to the other students - but she hated you. She was always telling you off even when you hadn't done anything wrong, and she even kept you back at playtime sometimes to punish you when she was really angry. Henry, on the other hand, was her favorite student. She never told him off, and she always praised him in front of the other kids for even the smallest little things. He never got in trouble, and he was mean all the time. It wasn't fair.
Henry smirks at you again, mocking you for getting told off.
"Naughty baby!" he scolds in a loud enough voice. Miss Harris, of course, doesn't seem to hear him.
You start thinking about how unfair it is. Maybe Miss Harris wouldn't be so nice to Henry if she knew how mean he was? You think about telling on Henry.
