"I simply cannot have this immature little boy in my class any longer!" lectures Miss Harris, pointing accusingly at you as you sit with your head down on a small plastic chair in the corner, swinging your legs back and forth.
The headmaster, Mr McMaron is a small beadle of a man, with small rodent features and a slow ponderous way of doing things. In front of the furious Miss Harris, however, he is quite helpless, letting out his reply in a soft uncertain voice.
"I understand Miss Harris, but there is only one Year 3 class in this school. I don't know what you would like me to do"
"Well move him to a different class of course!"
The headmaster starts searching through his desks as if looking for a record of some kind.
"Well" he echoes, sorting desperately through his papers "if his academic achievement is sufficient, I could consider moving him up to Mrs Hartman's class..."
Miss Harris interrupted.
"No, no, no. I assure you he is not at all prepared for that. I think he would be more suited for Miss Green's class."
The headmaster raises a bushy eyebrow curiously
"Miss Green? But that is the preschool class..."
"I'm quite aware Mr McMaron, but given the state of his emotional development and his uniquely sub-par academic performance I think it is quite appropriate."
The headmaster shrugs.
"Well, you know best Miss Harris. Of course, I would need Miss Green's agreement and some parental consent, but otherwise I can see no reason why I should not allow it in principal..."
"Thank you, Mr McMaron. There was one other thing..."
The headmaster gives a tired look, clearly wishing to be done with the whole situation.
"Yes? What was that?"
"I had in mind certain special arrangements for Daniel here once he has been transferred to his new class. I'm sure Miss Green will agree that they are necessary..."
Mr McMaron puts up his hands
"Any special educational arrangements are up to you. If you and Miss Green think they are best for him feel free to go ahead."
"Thank you, Mr McMaron" smirks Miss Harris, triumphant.
