The family arrives in the restaurant and are greeted by a waiter. “Good afternoon,” the waitress says, “how many people are in your party?”; Jack blushed at the site of her. “Four,” Amanda says happily patting Jack Sr’s stomach. “Congratulations,” the waitress says, “let’s get you to your table.” The family heads to their table and sit down. “Can I get your drink orders,” the waitress asks. “Sure,” Jack replies, “I’ll just have an ice water.” “Me too,” Jack Sr. replies back; “Me too,” Amanda replies. The waitress walks away.
“How exciting is this,” Amanda says, “Jack gets to be an older brother, and I don’t have to carry the baby this time.” Jack sits in his chair still not knowing what to make of the situation. How is that even possible? That shouldn’t be, right?
