This choice: The first floor, dead people are buried underground after all. • Go Back...Chapter #6The first floor, dead people are buried undergr... by: doragom333 Choosing to remain on the ground floor, Gardenia crept towards the door. Cautiously, she pulled open the door and peered inside. Shining her flashlight, she could see a long table lined with chairs on the other side.
"The Dining room, I guess?" Gardenia muttered, walking inside.
The dining room was quite large, and seemed to comprise of most of the first floor. The only two exits, other than where Gardenia entered, were an alcove on each side of the room. Presumably, these led to the kitchen and pantry. Oddly, the table was set up with plates and silverware for up to about a dozen people. "Have these been here ever since it was abandoned?" Gardenia asked to herself.
She turned to investigate one of the alcoves.
*Fwoom* went a muted sound behind her.
"Huh!?" Gardenia whirled around, gripping her light and pokeball tightly.
Somehow, in the time that she had turned around, the candles on the table had lit, and the plates were filled with hot, steaming food. Meat, rice, vegetables, it was a feast indeed.
Gardenia's face began to pale. Where could this have come from, and how!?
Her resolve wavering, she almost left the scene immediately but then, a thought came up in her head.
I am pretty hungry.
"Huh?" she blinked.
It looks soooo goood.
"It does smell delicious..." she agreed with her mind as her stomach began to growl. "But there's no one here but me, it's obviously a trick from the ghosts!"
Or maybe they're setting food out for a guest.
"I, nnnn..." she groaned.
Maybe the ghosts weren't malevolent. It could be that she was all wrong about them. And it would be really rude to ignore their hard work, which would definitely tick them off...
Fighting it over in her head, Gardenia chose to- indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
