"Don't you think this is all a bit... weird?" Mai suddenly asked, seemingly unsure of herself.
Jess was unperturbed by this question, however, and just shrugged. She couldn't deny the strangeness of the situation, after all. "I mean, yeah. It's not every day you wake up with superpowers, more or less."
"No, not the powers themselves. I mean, you woke up with these powers, and the first thing you did to test them was give yourself a penis?"
"Oh come on, like you've never had any weird fantasies or anything," Jess joked, clearly seeing no issue with the alteration she'd made to herself. Mai had nothing to say to that, simply turning away as a bright blush graced her face, eliciting a grin from Jess, and a small smirk from Claire.
Daniella, on the other hand, was more focused on what Jess had said. "Fantasies? This is the kinda thing you fantasise about?" she asked, sounding a bit incredulous.
"Sometimes. There's plenty of weird stuff I've fantasised about. Never thought I'd be able to make any of it come true, though." Before Daniella could inquire any further, Jess turned back to Mai, who's blush seemed to have lessened a bit. "So, Mai, you think of anything?"
"Well, um," Mai said, stumbling over her words, seemingly caught of guard by Jess inquiring about her "fantasies". She managed to play it off fairly calmly, though, and ask for something far more normal than the alterations that had been done to Jess and Claire. "I wouldn't mind if I was a bit taller. I've always been the shortest in the group."
"Aw, come on, you can do better than that," Jess teased. While she'd agreed to not use her friends as guinea pigs for her newfound powers, and would only use it on them if they wanted, she was admittedly a little disappointed that Mai's request was so simple and normal after what she'd done to herself and Claire.
"Oh, leave her alone, Jess," Claire interjected. While she did enjoy that she could now change her skin, hair, and eye colour at will, she was a little concerned by how flustered Jess's prodding was leaving Mai. "If she doesn't want something crazy, she doesn't have to pick something crazy."
Mai, contrary to expectations, did not back down from Jess's challenge, however. "Well, how about you make it so I can stretch my body or something? Then I can make myself taller, and I don't have to come to you if I want to be shorter again. Is that crazy enough?"
"Stretch your body? What, like Mrs. Incredible or something?" Daniella asked with a chuckle.
"Yeah... I guess." The blush on Mai's face had returned. Jess had a sneaking suspicion that this was about more than just her height.
"Alright, I'll see what I can do." Jess focused on Mai, imagining her body becoming stretchy and elastic. Unfortunately, unlike her penis growth, and Claire's change in natural hair colour, there was nothing blatantly obvious about Mai that would indicate anything had changed. As such, everyone was a bit underwhelmed when Jess broke her focus before anything had actually happened.
"Did it work?" Mai asked, looking down at her body. Nothing seemed to have changed, at least as far as she could tell, although she did feel a little odd.
"I don't know, let's see!" Jess said excitedly. Before anyone could object, Jess grabbed onto Mai's arm, and pulled it towards herself. Rather than getting pulled towards Jess, Mai still sat perfectly still, and instead, her arm simply elongated to fill the space between her and her hand.
"Whoa..." Mai mumbled. Jess was similarly stunned, and let go of Mai's hand. It snapped back into place like a rubber band, squishing a little shorter than normal before springing back to its normal size. "Wow." Despite her earlier apprehension, Mai seemed utterly enamoured by what just happened, a smile on her face as she observed her arm. Despite what had just happened, it seemed completely normal. No one would ever know what power this arm held.
"I guess that sorts out your height problem, then," Claire said, pleased to see Mai no longer seemed to be nervous about the whole thing.
"Seems like it," Mai answered as she sat up straight, her spine stretching out until she was around the same height as the rest of the girls. Her limbs stretched out a bit as well, keeping in proportion with her height. Her clothes seemed a little small now, but not unreasonably so. In fact, no one seemed to notice, save for Daniella.
"I wonder what everyone else would think about this," she said, thinking aloud.
"Well, if the dream I had was right, no one else is going to think anything's out of the ordinary," Jess explained. "You all didn't think anything was out of the ordinary when I walked out with a penis."
"I know, but, that was just adding something to your body. You've basically given Claire and Mai their own powers. You think everyone knows about that? Mai doesn't even look any different than normal when she's not stretching."
"Well, there's one way to find out," Mai said a little too excitedly, as she stretched her arm across the room to grab her phone out of the charger. She really seemed to be enjoying her new stretchier body.
Jess, on the other hand, had other ideas. "Well hang on," she said. "Daniella hasn't even had a turn yet. Daniella, what do you want me to do to you?"
