Ever since Amanda Green was a little girl, she was fascinated with size.
When she played with her dolls, she would sometimes pretend that the dollhouse was a normal-sized house, and that she was a giant. Other times, she would imagine what it would be like to be small enough to live in her dollhouse.
When she got older, and into show business, she kept her fascination: watching any movie or TV show where someone changed their size, and imagining that happening to herself.
Amanda didn't think anyone knew about this side of her, except herself. But her mother knew.
One day, Amanda came home from school to find her mother as excited as she'd ever seen. "Big news, Amanda," her mother said.
"What is it?"
"You've been offered a starring role in a movie!"
Amanda squealed, and ran over to hug her mother.
Amanda had begun her show business career with print ads when she was little. Then, she moved on to commercials. Just recently, she had landed a role in a weekly TV series. The show got poor ratings and was cancelled, but she got good notices from critics. So Amanda wasn't too surprised when someone else offered her a part. What she didn't know, but her mother did, was that the filmmakers had a way to change her size for real.
Breaking the hug, Amanda said, "Don't keep me in suspense any longer, Mom. What's the movie?"
