Chapter #5Imprisoned Dryad by: WTLamp   In the middle of the cave, suspended in a cage of sickly purple light, is a naked, odd-looking young woman. Her skin looks more like wood instead of flesh, and she has moss growing on her head instead of hair. It doesn't take you long to peg the creature as a dryad, a fey spirit that usually inhabits older trees. As a spiritual being, a dryad's body is suffused with magical power, which means that using one as a focus for a curse isn't odd. Seeing the dryad also helps you understand the curse a little more; this particular curse steals the vitality from the surrounding area, and stores it in the focus. This has left the dryad, said focus, rather engorged as her body expands to contain the stolen vitality. Her breasts, belly, and butt were all very round and glowing slightly, as the magic pulsed within them. She also appears to be unconscious, and won't be waking up soon.
Now that you've found the source of curse, it's time to deal with it. The first thing you think of is freeing the dryad from the light cage. With the dryad no longer in place as a focus, the curse would disappear. The dryad would also likely be in debt to you for saving her life, and that could be very handy. After all, the fey take their obligations very seriously. The dryad would likely do anything you asked her to as a way of repaying your for saving her life.
However, a second thought occurs to you. You could also devour the dryad. Her body, after all, is currently suffused with magical energy. And said energy would transfer to your own magical reserve after she had been properly digested. Of course, there was always a danger of infusing too much magical energy into yourself. If you couldn't handle it, you might die, or worse. But if you could, think of all the magic power you'd have at your fingertips! Maybe Madame Lustria would be able to teach you spells that you couldn't perform before due to a lack of magical power in you.
