Chapter #6

Sink or Supper

    by: Unknown
You think to yourself and then give an evil look as you flip your tail around in the water. "On second thought," you say. "One little human bicky is nothing compared to a whole cruise ship full. They obviously didn't count on a certain, devilishly beautiful mermaid coming for tea. They really should stop throwing newspaper into the ocean." You lick your lips before diving back down into the water.

Soon, you saw it from underneath the ocean where you make your home. "The Bravest", the only cruise ship that would take humans to monster territory, up on the lido deck, the passengers were all so blissfully unaware of the titanic mermaid underneath plotting to eat them. They were just partying away and some girls in bikinis were laughing. "I hear the monsters are all super ugly." "Yeah, there's this big troll in charge and I hear she's so dumb, she makes that girl on that hotel show look smart." There were also some drunk men talking about the monsters. "Did you hear about the gargoyle girl?" "Oh man, wouldn't it be great if she looked just like Demona." "I dunno, I hear she's fat. It's that fairy I'm looking forward to seeing." "I dunno," said one of the few sober partygoers. "Are you sure it's safe?" The only ones not thinking about monsters were the children playing on board.

You rub your hands and lick your lips yet again. A prize like this didn't come around that often, this was even better than going after Stephen. But you needed a plan. "Now, now," you say. "I know I'm not a siren, but a mermaid's voice should be hypnotic enough to sink the Bravest. Or, I could just go the barbaric way and as the Americans say, rock the boat. Decisions, decisions."
