The threesome had walked along the road for only about an hour. They'd not seen much on the road yet aside from a picturesque natural landscape and found little reason to stop their travel thus far. "Hey look! There's someone on the road ahead," pointed out Anna in her usual peppy tone. Roy and Tyre followed Anna's well manicured index finger (her other index finger, as her left was still on her chin) and saw the figure, still a good quarter mile distant.
"Well, at least we know this place is populated still," said Tyre, "that's a good thing, right?"
"That depends," said Roy, "on whether this figure is friend or foe."
"Oh, c'mon, Roy," said Tyre, "bad guys hardly ever travel alone."
"What makes you think he's alone?" asked Roy.
"Roy, you worry to much," said Anna cheerfully, "must be that old age of yours!" Roy cocked an eyebrow at this but Anna continued, "Whoever this guy is, I'm sure I'll make him a happy customer one way or another, hehehe."
"That only makes me worry even more, Anna," replied Roy to this.
As they drew closer to the mysterious person, Tyre got a glimpse of his weapons. He had a killing edge, modified quite a bit, a brave sword, a tomahawk, and Tyre could feel this man's aura, strong in the forces of magic. Tyre perceived him to be very powerful, more than enough to pulverize both Tyre and his friends easily. Tyre decided to be friendly for now, hoping that this man wanted no trouble...
"Hail, traveller!" greeted Tyre warmly.
The mysterious man looked at the threesome, "Well met," he said.
Before anyone else could say anything, Anna blurted out, "Ooh, nice weapons!" Her friends gave very dirty looks to her, making her blush a bit when she saw their faces.
The man laughed at this, "Yes, I suppose they are," he said at that.
