Jen thought about the problem for quite a while as she admired herself in the mirror. Finally, she came to a conclusion.
"Well, the problem obviously isn't the amount of food I'm giving her. I've been making sure that she's stuffed to the gills after every meal. Just giving her more food isn't going to solve anything. The only way I can boost her weight is if I boost her calorie intake, and to do that, I'll need to get her eating more fattening food."
There was only one explanation: Claire's diet was big enough, but it wasn't dense enough with calories. She'd been eating too many low-calorie foods and not enough high-calorie foods packed with sugar and fat. That had to be it, Jen decided. Having solved the issue, she gave her mirror-self a satisfied smile, and resumed examining her rolls with renewed interest. "Soon, Claire darling. Soon you'll have a body like this to call your own."

The next morning, Jen put her plan into effect. Instead of just making a large breakfast, she bought Claire a box of a dozen donuts. Claire was hesitant at first, but after two months straight of oversized meals, her appetite was in no position to go without breakfast, and so she ended up pigging out on donuts just the way Jen had hoped. Claire managed to eat seven of them before declaring that she was too full to finish them.
Once Claire was gone at school, Jen happily finished the remaining five donuts by herself, before cooking herself a proper breakfast.
From that point on, any trace of healthy food was eliminated from Claire's diet completely. Vegetables were replaced with fries, glasses of water became cans of soda, and soon Claire's diet consisted almost entirely of meat, carbs, and sugar. Every morning started with either pastries or greasy breakfast meats, like bacon or sausage. Her lunches were stuffed with processed treats and snacks. Her after-school fast food trips with her mom went from a treat to part of their routine - Claire never got home without a belly stuffed full of burgers and fries. And her dinners were just as large as before, but they were loaded with buttery potatoes, fried foods, red meats, and as many carbs as her mother could push on her. Takeout became a staple of their household meal schedule - the two of them could easily knock out a family-sized meal on their own. And dessert, of course, was practically a meal of its own at this point.
Once Claire's stomach started to become accustomed to the influx of junk food, Jen even occasionally let Claire skip right to dessert, letting her daughter stuff herself full on sugar alone. One night she even gave Claire a whole cake just for herself. The girl had been hesitant at first, but by the end of the month Claire was totally hooked on junk food - as was Jen herself.
And the effects on Claire's waistline were obvious. In one month of her all-junk diet, Claire put on more weight than in the previous two months combined. In fact, she gained almost 20 pounds in just four weeks. Jen was delighted - her plan was working!
