"Fine!" becoming annoyed, you said. "Just don't complain to me if you don't like what I do to you!"
James merely smiled as you cast your spell. You watched as the pink globe of energy flew at your bother but gasped as he swatted it away from him as if it were a pesky fly. "You'll have to do better than that, sis if you want to best me." teasing, he said.
This only infuriated you but, seeing your spell flying back at James, you smiled. "Rebound." teasing back, you said. "Watch your nine, bro."
James turned, saw the spell bouncing back, and yelled in surprise. He quickly fired off a globe of blue energy to counter it. His 'spell' hit yours and the two exploded, filling the entire house with a strange colored light. When the light eventually faded, you and James both screamed in fright. You were now a boy in girl's clothing and he was a girl in boy's clothing. "Nice going... bro!" annoyed, James yelled. "You switched both our genders!"
"You pushed me into casting that spell!" irritable, you fired back. "That and you are the one who caused my spell to explode, not me! This is your fault!"
Your argument was cut short by two feminine screams in another part of the house. You grabbed your magic book while James grabbed the chaotic science book before you both quickly ran to the source of the screams. You soon found Tex and Mat, both transformed into girls, with a tall woman who you immediately knew was dad. He looked at you, holding your book, then turned to James who was holding his book. At first, you thought dad was going to explode in anger, or at least a high annoyance but she instead began to laugh.
"Dad, I can explain." wincing, you said.
"This was not intentional, father." wincing as well, James added.
Dad only laughed harder, more maniacally. You and your... sisters looked at dad as if she had suddenly lost her mind. "Daddy, please!" tearing up, you said.
"Father, compose yourself!" stomping one foot, James demanded.
Dad turned to you and James with an almost sadistic smile. "Oh, come now, my children!" chuckling, she said. "Surely you can see the humor in this!"
"I don't see what's so funny!" pouting, Mat said. "I'm a girl!" he shuddered. "Ew!"
Dad laughed again then turned to James. "Let me guess, you discovered Jessica was teaching herself magic and taunted her as a way to teach her a lesson." smiling, she said. "Only you underestimated her power and you were forced to use your mad science to counter her magic."
James nodded. "The spell and event collided and exploded." pouting, she said.
Dad nodded. "Did you forget that magic is an other world power that does not necessarily follow all the laws of physics of this world?" amused, dad asked. "I guess that is why you got a B in other worlds and realities class."
James blushed, not knowing how cute it made her look as dad then turned to you. "For the record, I knew you were studying magic on your own." causing you to blush, she said. "You are doing a fine job so far but you need to remember that strong emotion augments magic, you have to do better to keep your temper in check."
James sighed. "What's our punishment, father?"
Dad smiled then, to your surprise, changed back into his male self. "This was a minor mishap." simply, he said. "It's to be expected when family members possess such powers and abilities."
"Can you change us back?" hoping, you asked.
