seeking outside help

"There is only one alternative." frowning, James said. "We will have to consult outside help in order to remedy our current situation."

"Why can't I just teach you how to work a gender spell?" wincing, you asked. "It's really not that hard, once you know the basics."

"It took me two weeks at Eligere Sententia to learn how to work a proper transgender event." serious, James replied. "I can only assume the same would be true when learning magic and I doubt any of us wish to be stuck as the wrong gender for that long of a time."

"If we call aunt Viva, she may agree with dad or may not wish to go against his decision." serious, you argued. "Maybe the two powers are enough alike for you to catch on quickly." pausing, you added, "Look, why not take one lesson then decide if it is worth the time?"

James looked at you for a moment, as if pondering over the odds then sighed and replied...
