Chapter #8

A Connection of the Mind

    by: Jeary Author IconMail Icon
you knew from James advice that talking to dad at this point would be rather pointless. Even if your new sister wants you to do this for her. You knew he wouldn't reverse the situation. It was then you decided to confront Theresa and speak to her about it. You thought that maybe if She knew about what James had told her about the spell the perhaps she would realize why dad was so harsh on her. You go and knock on her door. " Theresa, I need to speak to you." You tell her.

" Don't! Call me Theresa! Did you get dad to change his mind or not?" Theresa asked. You could tell that she was still not used to being called Theresa and would rather you not call her that. Yet you knew you would have to keep calling her that at least until she's back to her old male self again.

" I didn't ask, he just made his decision and you and I both know that once dad makes up his mind there's' no convincing him to change it back. I did however talk to James and he told me what the serum would have done if he hadn't interfered. Did you know of what the serum was supposed to do?" You asked Theresa shortly after that she began to answer your question.

" All I know is that it should have turned you into a guy. Don't come in until you get dad to change me back!" Theresa said slamming the door in your face and locking it. You felt irritated t hat she was locking the door, trying to refuse to listen to any of your words. It was no sooner than that you began to be hearing a voice in your head, it was strange but weird, you had the image of your former brother Tex who's now Theresa looking in a book. You began to notice this was no ordinary book though, it was a book of all that mad scientist, you saw the image of Tex skimming through the book not even reading it thoroughly, and then coming upon the ingredients for the serum.

You realized that somehow you were reading your brother now sister's thoughts from when she was first creating the serum that got you stuck together. Although you did find if strange that you could read his thoughts. Curious about this you decide to have a little experiment of your own and try to speak through your thoughts to her. Much to your surprise it works. " Tex, err Theresa you just skimmed through the mad science book of yours? You thought sending it to Theresa.

" How did you know? How are you communicating through my mind?" Theresa asked.

" I don't know but I just thought about it happening and it happened. We could of both lost our lives if Dad didn't undo that serum you know."

" Fine, I'll admit it I just skimmed over most of the book so I could use a serum that I thought would be beneficial to us both. I didn't know about the consequences.

You and Theresa continue discussing the issues that have past and the dire consequences of the misuse of the serum, eventually she finally comes to understand why her father was so harsh on her. Eventually you both agree that you would leave dad alone on this matter and wait at least a week before discussing it again. However you did now however have something else to discuss with Dad. As you quickly figured he might have some knowledge as to why you were able to enter Theresa's mind.
