"Maybe I should just join a raid. I'm sure somebody could use a healer." Toriumi mumbled to herself. "Looks like Tatsuya isn't gonna be on anyway."
Just then, a buzz rang through the room. Someone was at the door, but who? Toriumi knew she hadn't made plans to have anybody over, and it was a bit late for a surprise visit. Then it dawned on her; pizza. She hadn't felt like cooking dinner and instead ordered out, and it must have just slipped her mind as she sat at her computer.
"Coming!" Toriumi called, standing up from her computer desk. "Just give me a second to find my wallet."
Where in the world had she put it?! It wasn't on her desk, or the kitchen counter. She hadn't left it in her purse. The doorbell rang once more, this buzz a bit longer than the first. The deliver boy must have been getting impatient. Well, he'd just have to wait a second, assuming he wanted to get the money for her order.
"There you are!" Toriumi said. Her wallet had managed to fall between the cabinet by her front door and the wall, forcing the woman to lie against the floor and grope blindly for it. After a few seconds of uncomfortable reaching, Toriumi felt her fingers close around the wallet, quickly pulling it back out and standing up. Money ready, Toriumi opened her door and greeted... nothing.
"What the...? I know I wasn't imagining things." Toriumi mused. "Ugh. Don't tell me he gave up already. Maybe if I run I can catch up to him before he leaves with my food."
Of course, that would mean running after the delivery boy in her current state of dress. A shirt and panties was fine enough if she was just standing behind her own door, but it was a bit less acceptable for running out and into her apartment complex proper. The last thing the teacher needed was a curious neighbor peeking their head open and catching a glimpse of her underwear. A sudden gnaw of hunger reminded Toriumi that she was hungry and looking forward to that food...
It'd just be a quick run. She could catch up, pay for her food, and get back into her apartment before anybody was any wiser. Stepping out and closing the door behind her, Toriumi quickly jogged for the front of the complex. Little did the composition teacher know that this decision would kick off a night she'd regret.
