Despite her weight, Nicole had a steady boyfriend. She and Bryan had met in a history class freshman year. He was fat, a bit nerdy and shy, but cute enough. Nicole liked being with a guy who didn't make her feel like a whale, and his size made her seem smaller by comparison. Maybe he wasn't the hottest boy in the world, but he was her first boyfriend and they were quite close.

"Ha, I didn't know you believed in this kinda stuff!" Bryan mocked after Nicole had invited him over and explained her plan. "Magic, Nicole, really?" The two sat in her room with the spellbook in Nicole's lap.

"I know it's stupid," Nicole blushed, "but it won't hurt to try, right?"

Bryan, though still skeptical, decided to play along. "Well, it says here the swap lasts one full year. You would really want to be stuck in their bodies for a whole year?"

"Bryan, imagine having a perfect body. Imagine watching Sean and Kat struggle with being our size. They'd finally understand what it felt like and stop mocking us all the time. It's perfect!"

Bryan laughed and, still completely doubting that the spell would work, said "Fine, let's do it. Read the spell!"

Nicole hugged Bryan then looked down at the book. She began, and a swirling light engulfed them.
