Shrink more cities ...MALFUNCTION

Jade laughed evilly as she examined the shrinkray's controls. The DRAIN setting regulated how much power the device used at one time. The APERTURE setting regulated how wide the beam it fired. Already larger than most people, Jade simply thought everything needed to be smaller. She turned both dials to MAXIMUM aimed, and fired.

Next thing the old woman knew all she saw was blackness. Except that beside the grandmother was a familiar looking globe. Earth was about the size of a .........
