Absolute Power Bores Absolutely

Princess Celestia was getting particularly bored. For all her devotion to the safety of every one of her subjects the absence of any effort to subvert her authority coupled with the repetitive nature of most social gatherings in Canterlot and the perpetually trivial issues being presented to her at Day Court left her with very little stimulation or amusement.

Mulling over the problem for a few hours, in the middle of which she set the sun below the horizon, she came to the conclusion that to really get out of her funk she'd need to mess with established conventions and the like. If only she could decide how. However, one way that could make for some serious situational comedy was...
