You trembled when you heard those words. Did she really mean it? And then you saw her... Smiling? But that wasn't a happy smile, it was more mischievous... More like... She was enjoying the thought of killing you! She was smiling in a way, that looked like she was at the verge of climaxing. Well...
Goombella always wanted to feel powerful. To have someone worship her, to have someone entirely dependant on her. To have someone's whole life and existence depend on how she feels. That's why she made a shrink ray. You were just the unfortunate first victim.
