Officer Cam Close pointed a small, palm-sized device at the women in the cell around you. She seemed to scan each of the prostitutes in the holding cell and then clicked a button on it and pressed the smooth, metal half-sphere into your hand. You looked at her in confusion, already feeling the nanites working their way through your body. “This,” she said pointing at the device, “is a prototype from our undercover unit. It uses the latest generation nanite technology not just to adjust the user’s body, but to copy features from other nanite users as well,” she explained. You tried to ask her about it, but at that moment the nanites were working on your voice box and all that came out was a high pitched croak.

“It’s a shot in the dark how well this will work, but it’s either this or you roll the dice on being discovered and I don’t think either of us would like the consequences of that.”

All you managed to do was not your head. It was then that you saw long, black hair sweep in front of your eyes. You gasped and started to hyperventilate as you noticed your chest expanding in an unmistakably feminine fashion. “Get it together!” she slapped you across the face and your hands shot up to caress the spot she’d struck. “We don’t have time for you to lose it right now. I set the device to take random traits from these women to create a new identity for you. The scanner is also able to read enhancements programmed through the nanite-neural interphase. In other words, you’ll know how to move in your new body and the nanites will program you with knowledge from these women on how to act so you don’t give yourself away,” Officer close explained.

“What? How?” you asked, surprised at your new, feminine and sultry voice. “We don’t have time for that now. I’m trusting you with this device, it is incredibly powerful, but like I said, it’s a prototype. Once your transformation is finished it will generate a new identity for you and it is also the only record of your original self, so if you lose it there is no going back.” Right at that moment you both heard loud noises and screams from the cells close to where you were.

The changes seemed to be slowing down and you felt the last bit of your face rearrange. Aside from a pair of impressive breasts and a smooth, caramel skin-tone you didn’t have time to really explore what you looked like. “Shit, I knew we had bad cops in the department, but if they’re brazen enough to attack the station then it’s much worse than I thought. I’ll create a distraction so you can get away. Head to Pacifica Apartments downtown and go into apartment 402. It’s a safe house. I’ll try to meet you there in 24 hours. If you don’t see me by then Leave! Is that clear?” She held you by the shoulders and you nodded.

“Don’t lose the device!” She yelled as she ran towards the noise. You bolted in the opposite direction.
