"Oh! I'm sorry!" you exclaim as you bump into somebody. You look up. It's a girl you've seen a few times before, but never spoken to. People always whispered about her being "that creepy emo chick", and like you, she seemed friendless.
"Oh, it's alright," she says to you, her dull green eyes, winged with thick eyeliner looking boredly into yours. She appears to be wearing a robe of some kind, or some kind of black drapey article wrapped around her body. She has torn black stockings as well as black boots. Her hair is a black-dyed mess, and it looks as if she's been cutting it herself. She has stretched ears plugged with gauges and several piercings in her ears, lips, nose, and on her eyebrows.
You're about to walk away when she says, "Hey, could you help me with something?" Already a few steps away, you warily say, "What?" She sighs. "I'm going to sound totally weird right now, but I forgot my keys in the common area and my roommate won't let me in." Her voice sounds hurt, and you actually feel bad for her.
"Yeah, okay," you say. You walk down to the common area. It's a room near the lobby, on the ground floor with a bunch of chairs, couches, and tables where students could study and socialize. You'd never been in it much.
"Where do you think you left it?" you ask.
"I dunno, just look around," she says. You look at all the tabletops and find the keys. Oddly, they're emitting a dull green light. At the touch, they feel cold. You turn around. "Found them," You say. "Thank you so much," she says, and grabs them. As she does it, you could swear you see somebody else in the corner of the room.
Little did you know it, but you and Eva are about to swap bodies! When does the swap occur? indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
