You lunged next to Shiro and wrap your arms around her skinny hips.
You stand up straight and carry her to safety, just barely avoiding getting your tail stepped on. You cringed imagining how that'd feel, and won't dare imagine what would happen if you'd stay a second more. The hallways cleared itself. Mike held Shiros ears closed just before another bell went off. The entire corridor was silent, save for your companions heavy breathing.
Jade stepped from the group and looked around. "All clear."
"June, I want to go home!" Shiro clung to you. You kept silent. June looked a bit embarrass, going behind her and whispering in her ear. Shiro squeezed you tighter, thanking you for saving her before she turned and hugged June. "Where do we go now?"
"Cafeteria." Mike said.
"Cafeteria? That sound like I heard it before... Wait, no!" Jade hopped back to the group, "Are you insane? The cafeteria is where those giants eat!"
The group looked at Mike who held his hands up, "This isn't my first time here. I've been here twice before and my plan always works. You want her to get home?" He gestured to Shiro, "First, we get food from the lunch room. Second, we wait for Misty to show up. Third, we hop in when she's done eating and she takes us home."
Jade shook her head. "That's insane."
"We'll do it." Jade was surprised when Shiro stepped forward. June followed behind, "I can't think of a better plan."
Jade threw her hands in the air. "This is ridiculous. Do you know how many things can go wrong? We could be stepped on, or worse: eaten."
Mike smirked, "So essentially nothing changed from our day-to-day life?"
"We're in foreign territory, we can't-"
"You're in foreign territory, I'm not."
Jade turned to you, "You can't seriously be on his side are you?"
You blinked, feeling the gaze of the other on you. "Well, he managed to untie himself, save my life, untie me allowing Shiro's life to be saved, knows when the bells will ring, and has a plan on getting out of here..."
Jade shook her head, "Wake up. His plan is to go to where a bunch of hungry people, dozens of times taller than you, eat together. I'm pretty sure that there are plenty of things wrong with that plan."
