You make a break for the door, instantly regretting the decision as your stab wound flares up in agony. The leona before you reacts quickly, scowling as she steps forward. The cane in her hand lifts up, apparently she doesn't need it to walk at all. You didn't even manage eight steps before you felt your wound tear open and blood started leaking from it once more.
'That was rude. You should know much better than that.' The giant woman's voice almost growls above you and the cane does a loop around in her hand before the base of it swings heavily into you.
'Nnnnghhh!' You feel the air knocked from your lungs and whizzing past you as you fly into the far wall. Normally you might survive something like this, and through your bleary vision you see her approach. The blood is now pouring out of you, and the leona looks down on you in confusion.
She obviously had no idea you were already wounded. But it doesn't matter at this point. You were close to bleeding out after Sitchol left you for dead, there is no way you can survive a second dose of heavy blood loss in the same day. Your vision swims as she reaches for you. Was that... concern in her eyes? You couldn't tell before your own began to lose focus. Maybe you shouldn't have run after all. Moments later, there was only blackness.
