This choice: Stay with her.  •  Go Back...
Chapter #7

Nobody will call you a coward

    by: Flynn-Coyote Author IconMail Icon
You couldn't leave her like this. Shiro shivered and hugged you tighter, causing your heart to melt on the spot. 'Don't worry.' You whispered. 'I'll stay here with you, alright? We'll escape together as soon as we can.'
'Misty's back!' Jade called frantically. 'You have to get out of there now!' She and Mike looked down at you despairingly.
'Just go!' You called. 'We'll... We'll make it out later!' Mike gave you an apologetic look and shook his head sadly. Jade had already vanished and now Mike was gone as well. You were alone now with Shiro and your prospects of escaping were slim to none... The sound of Misty taking her seat just outside had sealed your doom.

It was a short time later before a loud bell rang Shiro had fallen asleep after a bout of shivering but she awoke with a squeal of fright at the terrifying sound. You winced as her claws dug into your back and she started crying.
'Shh, don't worry, I'm here.' You cooed, trying to comfort her as you whispered in her ear. 'I'm here. I'm still here for you, don't worry.' You realized the words were as much for yourself as the child, as the bell was followed by a sudden lurch of your surroundings.
A tear rolled from your eye and you struggled to keep your composure as a large blue hand descended and began probing around. Your legs shuffled you into the corner of the backpack and you did your best to keep out of her grasp. The backpack shifted again and light flooded inside as the leona girl peered inside.
'Oh what the hell?' She growled. 'Where are the other two?'
You didn't answer, you just kept hugging Shiro close.
Misty sighed in disappointment and scooped the two of you close. 'Great, two left and one of them's the little one. I'm gonna be so hungry later.'
'W-what's happening?' Shiro asked, her ears wavering and her tail twitching uncontrollably. Before you could even attempt to try and settle her back down, Misty's finger wedged between you both and you felt yourself sliding back into the backpack on the floor beside Misty's leg.
'No!' You shouted, bounding up the book to the top of the backpack and trying to get the leona;s attention. It was no good, from down here Misty barely noticed you. This might have been the best time to flee, but you couldn't abandon the poor girl, not now. 'No, don't... Please.' Tears blurred your vision as the horror unfolded.

Misty sniffed the micen and licked her lips slowly. The smaller ones were nowhere near filling, but they were definitely just as tasty and went down far more smoothly. She lapped her tongue over its body slowly, savouring the taste and letting out a little happy moan.

Shiro couldn't even see the terror she was about to suffer, but could only squirm and shiver in the leona's grasp. Her hand tapped something soft and warm, before a succession of two quick sniffs washed the air past her as Misty took her scent.
'Oh no, please! I just wanna go home!' The girl cried, squealing in horror as the warm but wet tongue slavered over her shivering body. 'Lily help me!'
Yet again the leona ignored the girl's terror. Shiro probed around with her hands, hoping dearly she would find something to hold onto, something that might save her. A wave of hot air breezed through her fur and she realized the leona's mouth was open. And that could only mean...
'No no no NOO!' She screamed as she felt the soft lips closing around her waist. They felt so soft and warm, if they were not ushering her to her doom they might actually feel nice. 'June... June...'

'Shiro!' You fell to your knees in despair as the girl's legs disappeared between Misty's lips with a wet slurp. You watched the jaw work slowly, unable to tear your eyes away from the sight. Your tears rolled freely as Misty slurped Shiro back and swallowed. 'No...'
'Your turn.' Misty said, licking her chops as she lifted you to them. Just like with Shiro, she inhaled your scent and gave you a taste before wrapping her lips around you.
'I'm coming Shiro...' You wept as the leona's uncaring tongue slapped you into her palate harshly. Misty's voice moaned around you before you were lifted and slipped backwards. You heard the sickening gulp before you felt the musculature of the leona's gullet compress you and force you down to your doom...

You heard weeping as you dropped into a pit of slimy liquid. The surface beneath you was throbbing with Misty's rhythmic heartbeat as well as slowly expanding and contracting around you. Your eyes adjusted a few moments later and you saw Shiro leaning against the stomach wall just to your left.
'L-Lily?' She stammered, shivering despite the stifling humidity. 'Lily... Is that you?'
'Yes...' You replied, carefully standing yourself up. You wrapped your arms around her and held her close. A low rumble cost you your footing and you both slipped into the pool of caustic fluids. Your foot bumped something solid, and you looked tentatively towards the mass at your feet. Oh... That half digested corpse could only be... June. You hefted Shiro up higher so she wouldn't accidentally feel the dissolving mess her sister had become.
'I'm scared...' The girl breathed, taking ragged shallow breaths.
'Shhh...' You held her close. Tears rolled off both your faces and mixed into the bubbling fluids around your waist. 'It's gonna... be over soon.' You rubbed your hand down her back softly, over and over again. As the minutes passed, you felt her slowly calm down. The air got thick and increasingly putrid with each breath the two of you took.
Your arms drooped at your side not long later. You felt the need to cough, but your body didn't even have the strength left for that. The last thing you were able to register was Shiro's limp body sliding off you...
