King's Row was at peace for the night, nothing but tranquil enjoyment out of the city where people could converse, walk or just feel comfortable without having to worry about anything but themselves for hopefully a good amount of time. As bad as it seemed, it was sometimes true that peace could be broken when least expected and that was what Talon was aiming to prove tonight with the advantage they had up above.
Tonight's proof would be in the form of an experimental weaponry, a tear gas of sorts with a concoction that could release a virus onto the crowd. Effective if there were enough people around for it, and luckily there was. Up on the rooftops was Widowmaker with a belt of the tear gas wrapped around her. It was a bit uneasy to have them around her yet she didn't know of any alternative way of carrying it. All she needed to do was release all of them at the crowd and leave without anyone catching her. Placing herself on one of the rooftops overlooking the town square, she pulled one of the grenades out and reached for the pin.
"Hold it!" Suddenly a blur slammed right into her, dropping the grenade as it rolled on the roof and parked against the ledge. Amélie got on her feet just in time as her irritating rival, Tracer, was onto her feet and already pulling out her twin pistols.
With the belt unbuckled, she tossed it straight towards the former Overwatch agent but she ducked underneath and advanced with a quick jab with her gun. A lunge like that was easy for Widowmaker to block and spin herself to swing her leg against Lena's back. With the limited time she had, she went and retrieved the grenade from the ground with her thumb right underneath the pin. She needed some more time to get away from her foe, any was good enough for the mission but Tracer did not allow that.
The quick girl appeared again and swung her hand right for the assassin while her pistols fired a little too close to her. The assassins was able to dodge but not prevent her thumb from moving and releasing the pin from the grenade. Red smoke emerged fast and immediately engulfed both her and Tracer as they cough and found themselves lost in the smoke for what felt like minutes. At last they started to see again but Tracer acted immediately as she charged in but instantly regretted that as both of them lost their footing and started to fall downward towards the street.
Luckily they ended up crashing into a tree only this tree seemed a lot bigger than its counterparts were, but they were able to see again which gave Widowmaker a chance to knock her rival off of her and land right onto a branch below her. That was when they both realized something was wrong.
"What did you just do to us?" Tracer asked as she noticed how big the branches were as they were like the size of the London Bridge, the leaves that surrounded them from nearly every angle and the ground being a lot farther than they could reach without injury. Of course, the experimental grenade ended up shrinking both of them and the rest of the supplies had been left up at the roof without anyone knowing.
"Damn it." Amélie muttered, thinking of how foolish she had been to let this happen and unless something happened, they'd be stuck here while the crowd of people so close to them continued on their merry way. But she wasn't a quitter, she was an achiever and she was going to get out of this situation but even then she couldn't help but notice that Tracer didn't seem to have any interest in letting her leave as she pulled out her guns while still asking, "What did you do to us? Why did we get shrunk down?"
Widowmaker considered the idea of leaving the little agent by herself and hope that she wouldn't follow, but even so she was fast and not one to just leave something like this alone, not to mention she could pop up here if it was possible. But maybe It was better that they both try and get out of this mess despite how much of a problem it was for them to try and work together and any chance of a betrayal between them was a very likely outcome. No matter the decision, that still left with how to get out of this tree with a small dining table that's a bit close by to their spot and barely much of a way to get up to the roofs at all from their spot.
