As you sit down next to her, still in Alice's body and wearing the bikini, you begin to feel a strange sensation in your head, a bit like the one you felt when you first stopped time.
Suddenly, everything springs back to life. The TV starts playing again, and Alice, who had been frozen mid-sentence, suddenly blinks and turns to you. Her eyes go wide as she takes in the sight of what she thinks is a clone of herself in a revealing outfit.
"What happened?! Where are you? What the hell is going on?" she exclaims, jumping up from the couch. You realize too late that in your surprise, you accidentally unpaused time.
Panicked, you stand up, feeling the unfamiliar sensation of your borrowed body moving. "Alice, wait, I can explain!" you stammer, your voice eerily matching hers.
Alice backs away, her face a mix of shock and confusion. "Is that you? How is this possible? Why do you look like me?"
Knowing you have to fix this, you focus intensely on stopping time again. The world falls silent as everything around you freezes. Breathing heavily, you concentrate on reversing the last few minutes, feeling the energy of time manipulation course through you.
The room rewinds quickly, and soon you are back to the moment just before you accidentally unpaused time. This time, you make sure to stay focused. Carefully, you morph yourself back into your original form, the sensation of transformation feeling less jarring now that you're expecting it. You go check yourself out in the mirror and let out a sigh of relief as you see your own reflection once more.
With everything back to normal, you unpause time again. Alice is in the middle of a sentence, completely unaware of the time manipulation.
"...and I was thinking, maybe we could order some pizza?" she finishes, still looking at you.
You take a moment to steady yourself, grateful that she has no memory of the bizarre events. "Pizza sounds great," you reply smoothly, trying to act natural.
Alice nods, seemingly satisfied. "Cool! I'll call and place the order. What do you want on it?"
You smile, relieved. "Anything with pepperoni is fine with me."
As Alice grabs her phone to order the pizza, you settle back into the couch, feeling a mixture of relief and excitement. You can't wait to use your powers again.
