Chapter #6

Someone else has swapped bodies the Walsh's

    by: Ash Author IconMail Icon
Just as you were about to leave the room, Dr. Saunders finally chirped in, "You gotta tell him, Kerry."

The two doctors excused themselves to the side and you could hear they were arguing. They were trying to whisper so that you couldn't quite make out what they were saying, but they returned to you a short time later.

Dr. Kerry was glaring at Dr. Saunders as he addressed you, "My colleague has convinced me if would be...unethical not to prepare you in advance. But perhaps it would be better to show you. If you would please step over to the mirror."

It seemed like such a strange request. Why would you need to look in the mirror.

Or maybe you are fully aware of it, but your subconscious won't allow you to acknowledge it. After all, you still haven't gone to look at yourself in the mirror, have you?"

"Come on, this is crazy! Why would I need to look in a mirror. I know who I am."

"Do you?" And with that, Dr. Saunders held a mirror up to your face.

Your immediate instinct was to look away, but you weren't able to do so in time. You ended up catching a glimpse of yourself, the body you were in now. You didn't want to believe it. Your eyes were still averted. They were shut tight. Saunders was right. You didn't want to face the reality of what you had just seen, but you couldn't deny it anymore. You now longer had your own body. You were someone else. You were now...
