Skip to the bus ride (or walk) to school

Rainbow sat by the window of the bus, watching the buildings fly by her. She would normally run to school, but she had to be there in a hurry. It was a known fact that being late for your first class will land you a seat next to the most annoying kid in school, and Rainbow was always that kid. But not today, she was determined to get a seat in front. Those're the seats that only the cool kids sit by.

Rainbow's train of thought was distracted, however, when one of her friends popped up next to her. She soon found that it was Fluttershy, whom she had been friends with since Kindergarten. Rainbow was really the only friend Fluttershy had, and Rainbow protected her as if she were her sister.
Fluttershy hid behind her backpack, watching the bullies of the school head to the back. There, they would discuss their devious plots for the day. They'd normally involve Fluttershy, but they've moved on to easier targets, since Rainbow was so protective of her.
