Someone else was in the stall!

She knocked on the stall door.

"Hello. Excuse me but I left my things in there. Could I please have them back?" She asked nicely.

"I'm sorry but you must be wrong. When I came in here it was empty." The person in the stall replied.

She ran over to an employee.

"Excuse me, but I was just in that stall over there. I left for a second and when I came back someone else was in there and said it was empty when they entered." She said quickly.

"I'm sorry to hear that, but when somebody leaves a stall we clear it out and put everything we find into there." Pointing to hole in the wall. "That sends everything down to our basement, and at the end of the day we sort everything and determine if it's something someone didn't end up wanting, or if it goes to our lost and found." The employee replied.

"Damn it." She wispered.

What was she to do?
