"It's not that I don't think John shouldn't be in a room with girls," Florence explained, "I just don't like leaving one boy with one girl alone in a room together." John couldn't help but feel that there was more to it than that; if Flo didn't have a problem with Magnolia and himself in the same room, she could have put them together with one of her sisters, or herself. Still, though he and Maggie were both visibly annoyed at the situation, they both stayed quiet. It wouldn't do to upset the person who brought them all there, and it wasn't like they wouldn't have plenty of time to hang out outside of their rooms.
Of course, as he brought his bags into the 3-bed bedroom, John felt kind of intimidated at the prospect of sharing a room with two older women for a week. Lily had already set up on her bed, her relatively little amount of luggage tossed against the wall. Her phone was once again in hand, and she'd only put her tank top back on- her long legs were almost too long for the bed she had, and John had to tear his eyes away before she looked up from her phone.
Behind him, Rose lugged her bags in and tossed them onto the bed on the far right; leaving John to sleep in the middle of the two girls. Rose peeked into the bathroom they had; "Were you going to take a shower, John?" she asked, already grabbing a towel.
"What? Oh, no, go ahead."
"Thanks!" And with that, Rose retreated into the bathroom, the sound of running water starting as the door closed. The last thing John saw before the door shut completely was Rose reaching for her bikini ties behind her back... and giving John a wink as she met his eyes in the mirror.
Blushing, John sat on the edge of his middle bed. He had planned on taking a shower, but he could wait until Rose got out. Or even until tomorrow morning, he thought, suddenly feeling very tired after the long time spent swimming. If he could even get to sleep that is; without the space of the bathroom to change in, he'd be sleeping in just his trunks, and he still wasn't totally comfortable next to these two ladies...
John leaned back on his bed, hands behind his head on the pillow, and...   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
