"Yeah," you tell Felicia. "I was running a half hour or so late, and the shower was like the last thing I did before I left. I even ate my toast, my whole breakfast in the shower."

"Toast in the shower?" she asks, an eyebrow up.

"Yeah," you continue the lie.

She bends down and sniffs your shoulder. Her eyes shoot to yours, and her nose wrinkles up.

"Not wearing deodorant?" she asks.

You hold back a gulp, "Uh, yeah."
