The miniature, helpless Rick in her dainty hand, Rebecca realizes how delicate the situation is. At first, the crushing pressure of her fist goes unnoticed until Rick gasps for breath when she comes to appreciate her new position. "Oh, I'm sorry, baby." She holds Rick in open palm, stroking his back with one finger. "I didn't mean that. I couldn't let you go."
Rick pathetically looks toward Rebecca's reassuring eyes, "Can you change me back now Bex baby?" His plea squeaks up to her receptive ears, inciting small smile on her face, followed by a disappointing frown.
Rebecca replies, "Sorry. I don't know what happened to you." She peeks around the yard for any potential cause but you already sneaked away, satisfied with your success. She loosely covers her little man with her cupped hands and carries him over to a row of tall bushes which she takes shelter behind. Sitting with knees raised, she places Rick atop her bare skin, a balancing act on the rounded mound.
"Then what's going to happen to me?" Rick asked, "I can't stay like this!"
"Sure you can!" Rebecca overzealously exclaims. "I mean, I would take care of you. I always kind of wanted a man who wouldn't push me around," she smiles with friendly humor, "and you definitely can't do that now, my little Ricky." Her eyes flutter, the blue tinted lids flickering like wings of butterflies.
"Don't call me 'little Ricky'," Rick requests. He shrugs without heart, "I don't know Bex. I love you and all, but I don't know about you taking care of me and stuff." If ever he claimed to be a master of language, Rick would surely be exposed as fraud with that line!
Something stirs inside Rebecca, "What!? Are you saying I couldn't keep you safe or something!?" Her legs shake, sending Rick plummeting over the edge, bouncing off her thigh and into the cold grass. "Oh, I'm sorry! You upset me." She takes her hands around him once more, "You know how I can get sometimes. But you would like to be with me, right Ricky darling?"
