Genetic Transposition Sensitivity Wave

"The GTS Wave is spreading." she states.

"The WHAT wave!?"

"Of course, you don't know," she shakes her head. "The GTS Wave, the Genetic Transposition Sensitivity Wave. The matter transposer, that gun you had earlier, I invented that. It can change the size of objects. That must sound crazy, but just listen. It works on inanimate objects fine, but to get it to work on living creatures, at least those with identifiable sexes, I had to develop a tuning mechanism, something that could detect if a target was male or female and prime it for transformation. That's what the GTS Wave is. It tunes the device and the recipient so the transposing effect can change their scale correctly."

You follow more of this topic than you let on, "And? Why are you in such a panic? What's wrong with this wave that's spreading?"

"Normally, the wave is short range. It's only meant to change something close, like you next to me now. But, but I fucked up. I put too much power into the transmitter, and it created a feedback loop powerful enough to go around the entire world."

"But what's going to happen? I don't feel any different. Do you?"

"It's not something you would feel. Not at first. I began tuning the device for human trials, and any minute now, people will start changing size. There may be no way to stop it before damage is done and countless lives are lost. It will happen everywhere. I only know who will be affected."

"Who?"
