Ernie couldn’t believe his luck. An actual offer to buy Chuck. Dollar signs dancing around in his head as he thought about it. He put Anna off talking about his emotional attachment to the horse. He’d need legit paperwork to satisfy her. If he could get her as a client he would be going places. Ernie knew that she had her pick between a sitcom and a feature film right now. Talented and easy to work with were the rumors along with her having money. She would be going places, places Ernie wished to go. A quick phone call to Vinny for the paperwork. He hoped that Vinny would spellcheck this time.
While that pot simmered he had Frankie waiting out in the hall. “Frankie come on in my good man.”
A tall gaunt figure shuffled in. Twitching and no doubt desperate for money. Ernie liked desperate, he could work with it. In a weak voice Frankie said, “Ernie man I need a job real bad. You gotta help me.”
“You know I will. Don’t I always? But first I gotta run you through an exercise and make sure you fit the part.” Slapping down a fifty dollar bill on the desk. A smirk on his face, “Show of good faith.”
Frankie snatched the bill up. “Anything you say.”
“This will only take a minute. Close your eyes and concentrate on what I tell you.” Pulling out the medallion he strode with confidence over to Frankie, placing the medallion over his neck. “Think how you are incapable of disobeying anything I say. In fact you are eager to please me.”
“You know I am.” Frankie said while trying to focus on the words. He was obedient and eager to please Ernie.
“You will make your body clean and sober.” With those words Frankie’s ashen color warmed up as life returned. Frankies’s thoughts cleared but he remained a puppet to Ernie’s commands. “Reshape yourself into an attractive young red headed woman with freckles.”
With no hesitation Frankie’s body submitted to the command. Shrinking as his face speckled with freckles. His hair trickling down as its color became vibrant. A curve developing as curves took shape. His butt swelling in unison with his chest. Ernie grinning in appreciation. Opening her eyes with a pleading look Frankie asked, “Did I do good?” The medallion falling free soon after. Frankie ignoring all save Ernie.
Ernie said, “You did real good. Now, I want you to change into some clothes I have and head over to Mr. Sayer at Glamour studio and do your best to do what he says. You will do that for me won’t you?”
Frankie nodded eagerly obeying his desire as if her own.
Charlie snorted thinking bitterly how he should of bit Ernie when he had the chance. Possibly selling him to Anna. He heard the phone call. Anna’s joy that he would even consider selling such a fine piece of horse flesh. Ernie no doubt imaging the payday he could extract from her. Allowing Anna to borrow him for the weekend certainly didn’t bode well for him. Now, he found himself being towed away in a horse trailer. If he saw Ernie again he’d knock him over and stomp his nuts with his hooves.
Stopping finally Charlie found his nostrils begin to huff as an enticing aroma wafted in the air. He didn’t know what it might be but part of him swelled with its fragrance stimulating him.
