Grace was an annoying girl who was named after her great grandmother. She was in fact an eighteen-year old senior but after you got through with her she thought she was an eighty-one year old senior citizen like her great grandmother was. You escorted the woman home to talk to her mother.
You visited Grace some time later. The transformation to life was remarkable. She had permed and dyed her hair silver. The stylist used so much hair spray that you couldn't push a comb into her hair. She wore a hearing aide set at maximum volume. Her ears had adjusted such that now she can't hear anything without the aides in her ears. A similar thing was done to her eyes with thick glasses. She could barely see now but without the glasses she couldn't see at all. The damage to her eardrums caused a problem with her balance along with her lack of vision and so she is afraid to walk without a walker. Her teeth were removed and dentures put in their place. She can now only eat very soft foods. Between the dentures and her 'hearing problems' she is hard to understand. Sometimes she shouts and sometimes she talks to softly you can't hear her at all.
She knows her family has a history of cancer especially skin and ovarian cancer. She never leaves any part of her skin exposed. He face, arms and legs are always covered by loose fitting clothes that are designed for comfort not style. She wears mittens on her hands to prevent arthritis. The gloves apparently are working since she doesn't have pain, but with the mittens she now has the dexterity in her fingers of a crab. This makes it hard to feed herself, open doors or write.
To prevent cancer, a mastectomy and hysterectomy were performed. They didn't perform reconstruction surgery for her boobs, she is now totally flat chested. During the mastectomy they damaged the nerve to her bladder. She doesn't know when she needs to go to the bathroom anymore. To keep her from having accidents she now wears a diaper.
Her condition caused her to be depressed and to have some anxiety. She takes medications to help these, but the interaction of the two also causes her some confusion and a little short term memory problems.
All in all even if you released her from her delusion of being an old lady, she now has all the infirmities as an elderly person does and would always in effect live the life of an elderly woman. You debated whether to restore her memory so she would know she was eighteen, not eighty-one. But at this point it would be too cruel even for you.
