From the moment he'd arrived, Rick was swept around in deluge of confusing information that overwhelmed him. Never had he tried to process so much so quickly. This was literally his first day, and already he was pushed into the ring, given calm assurances that he'd be a hit and that he would do well regardless. Even when he was told that he was going up against two, he was assured that he'd do great.
What he didn't know, or at least didn't remember, was that this match was just as much a show as it was a competition. No one was seriously expecting him to win, which was why anything he did would be okay. Besides, gamblers always liked a risky bet with high rewards, so the naive and gullible Rick fit the bill well.
At least he'd been given the grace of arriving first. They made sure he was at the top of the tower in the center of the massive coliseum long before his opponents entered, so the crowd could get a good look at him. Rick gawked in awe of the massive number of people all cheering (more out of excitement than encouragement) and he was left there in a daze for a minute, but he quickly snapped out of it and thought.
He could see where the enemy team would be coming out of. Perhaps he could catch them off guard? Being outnumbered, no one would expect him to make the first attack. Seemed like a good plan, he thought. Too bad he didn't know there were tools just one floor down.
The moment the Succubus and Huntress emerged from their stairs, Rick charged them with a gentle but loud roar as he tumbled into the vested woman's fit body. Fortunately the tower was padded so no serious injury would occur, but with the running force Rick had to at least have knocked the wind out of her. Pressing his advantage, he grabbed the woman's sides, squeezing with as much tact as he could muster in the heat of the moment, hoping to get at least a good start.
