Chapter #6
Olivia stomps off, grumbling angrily...
by: Unknown
Olivia's arms tensed, like she was about to fistfight me for having more free time than her, but she merely scooted her bulk around the other way, leaving a wide path of upturned sand in her wake as she shuffled her ass platform down along the beach. I sat up, watching her with contempt as she trudged off into the sunset, grumbling to herself.
"How the hell did she get a job here?"
"Excuse me, sir?"
"Hm?" I turned my head to a tall, lanky figure standing behind me, one with bright turquoise skin. It was another dragon, one with short, scruffy brown hair and yellow eyes, clad casually in a black tank top and a blue bating suit.
"Would you happen to work here?' He asked gently.
"Well, it's actually my day off, but if it's somethi-"
"Oh, I'm not asking for something, I just wanted to know..." He pointed to Olivia. "That dragon you were just talking with...what's her name?"
"Her name?" Wow. Someone actually wanted to expand their knowledge of Olivia Moenk's existence. "Olivia. Why?"
"Olivia..." He mulled over silently, and then, of all things, smiled. Without looking at me or saying anything else, he grabbed something from inside his pants' pocket and jammed it into my shirt's, quickly following the rough sand path with a vague perk in his step.
"...The heck was that about?" I pondered aloud, pulling out the tip he'd slipped me. Well, at least I got a few- "HOLY SHIT!!!"
In my hands was a fan of five hundred dollar bills.
