Chapter #8

"...I...like you a lot."

"I like you Greg," Miss Blanc repeated, smiling. "I like you a lot." Her antennae swayed like they were caught in a breeze and her wings fluttered. "And I want to spend more time with you. Now that you have the week off—"

“Wait, how did you know I have the week off?" I interrupted, trying to wiggle free from her entrapping cleavage. "You said your crystal ball was broken..."

"I don't always need a crystal ball to know things," she said cryptically. “It’s complicated…don’t make me say it.”

It's magic, I don't have to explain it. That was an inside joke we had. Miss Blanc HATED that saying: she insisted that magic had as many rules and laws as science, even if it defied science most of the time. I'd made the mistake of saying that when she tried to explain a spell that I didn't get...and spent afternoon under her ample buggy rump. Ever since, she used the line when I couldn't be bothered to do my homework on how her spells worked.

"Okay...so how DID you know?" I ventured. I wasn't going anywhere, so she could explain it. "What spell did you use? Scrying? Astral projection? Asked a ghost?" Some of those were spells I'd seen in movies, others ones I knew she could actually cast.

Miss Blanc grinned. "I picked up the phone, called Holmes and asked if you were free today."

...Okay, I walked right into that one. The grin on Miss Blanc's face made me turn red.

"Oh, don't look so ashamed, Greg! It was just a little joke," Miss Blanc chided, laughing and giving her breasts a shake and knocking me around. "And I'm not just stringing you along. I really DO like you." She tickled my face with her antennae. “And, I’ve been thinking: We're not teenagers, Greg. Just sitting here, playing video games? I want to do something more..." she cast about for a word, "...social? Serious? Just something besides 'hanging out’ like a bunch of kids."

"Miss Blanc? Are you...asking me out?" I gaped.
Surprised as I was, I still hid a sigh of relief. For a moment I'd thought she'd "pull a Carly" and force affection on me. But it looked like Miss Blanc was being more reasonable than that. And I liked the offer; she was one of my best friends in Gaia 2.0. Why not try and take our relationship a bit more seriously?

"Of course! What better way to get out and grow up a bit? And since you have some time off, why not today? I'm getting tired of this room anyway. Needs a cleanup, too...maybe you could help me with that as well?"

Ah, why not? This had good vibes. "I’d love to. Date it is. Cleanup tomorrow, though—gotta enjoy my week off.”

She buzzed happily, her wings fluttering fast enough to create a breeze. I hugged her huge chest and just enjoyed the moment. Then I blinked. "Uh, so how are you going to get out? Your...uh, backside is kinda filling the room."

I sheepishly pointed at her ample insectoid rear. It did indeed fill most of the room...hell, I'd never seen Miss Blanc NOT seated! Just how would she get out and about, if she LITERALLY couldn't get OUT?

Miss Blanc's wings fluttered again. "Oh, I have just the spell for that..." She produced a dusty, leather-bound book I could SWEAR seemed to be glowing faintly. She moved her hands in rapid patterns, chanting in a language I couldn't hope to understand. Light filled the room, and a massive flash enveloped us both. A crack of what sounded like thunder boomed, and my ears rang.

When everything cleared...
