Comforts of home

"Uncomfortable" would be one serious criminal understatement in describing Mia's thoughts on this development to her situation. Being dropped into Diego's vest pocket like she was some trivial little object rather than a living and breathing person didn't have her quite thrilled with Diego's decision-making. Once she'd been forced to concede that he wasn't going to simply let her back out until he brought her home with him, Mia had lowered herself to a somewhat comfortable position lying on her back against the bottom of the pocket. Her accommodations swayed gently with Diego's movements, his distant footfalls rhythmically counting out the distance of his journey out of the office. Fortunately, it appeared that he'd taken the elevator back down to the ground floor, rather than the stairs. Mia didn't really want to think about how shaky a ride that would've been.

Still, being carried off against her will, even if it was by someone that she trusted, made her opinions quite conflicted. Truthfully, she wanted to sit back down and talk out her unbelievable situation. Calling some kind of emergency help would be nice, as well.
Diego was a bit of a frustrating person in that way. He had a very good track record for making what would ultimately turn out to be good decisions, but his choices often appeared quite questionable at first glance.

She sighed, rolling onto her side with her back facing Diego's chest. If there was anything positive to be said here, it was that, at the very least, Diego was clearly concerned about her and intent upon helping her. That was enough to ease her worries quite a bit, even if she didn't quite agree with his immediate methods. She didn't have any idea of what to expect going forward, so she resigned herself to acknowledging that she was going to have to trust him on this one.

After a rather boring trip, during which Mia once more became rather frustrated with Diego for not so much as saying a word to her, Mia at last noticed him stopping.
"We're here." he said, his deep voice rumbling in from both above and immediately beside her. It sounded very strange. Mia pushed herself upright, leaning against Diego's chest, as she lacked a place to stand in here. His hand reappeared, pushing into his pocket, and he offered her a step onto his palm again. Mia obliged, and Diego lifted her out from his pocket's interior.
She found herself looking around at the sights of an unfamiliar home. A small house, she guessed, probably one or two bedrooms at most. There was an instantly-noticeable scent of coffee in the air, unsurprisingly.
"Whoa-..."
Mia clutched at Diego's thumb out of reflex as he lowered himself into a chair. From there, he lifted her up, toward his face.

"Alright, Kitten? Still feeling beautiful?"
Mia scoffed. This man really had no shame with flirting, did he?
"I guess the trip was alright." she replied. "The only problem was the guy sitting next to me -- total jerk, you would've hated him. Actually, he he had this vest on, and it looked a lot like yours. He seemed to think I'd just love seeing all the lint he had in his front pocket."
Diego chuckled, smirking at her.
"Seems like I don't have to worry about you." he remarked. "You've got the same fire in you as ever."
Folding her arms across her chest, Mia rolled her eyes in the most exaggerated manner she could, hoping he would notice.

Diego raised his other arm, gesturing toward the space around his chair.
"Shall we take a tour, Kitten?"
Mia sighed. Diego's personality could be a bit grating at the best of times; now was a whole different story.
"Fine." she replied. "I'd like to find out if your house is as hopeless a mess as your desk at the office."
Diego chuckled again, wearing an expression of mock sadness at her remark.

Rising from his chair while keeping his palm flat as ever, Diego carried Mia out of the room and toward two doorways.
"I find the place cozy, personally." he said dryly. "Left side's the laundry, right's the bedroom." He stepped into the right-side doorway, and Mia took in the sights of a disastrously messy room. She again rolled her eyes, not really surprised, but still disappointed in a way. She was trusting her safety at this tiny size to a man whose bedroom looked like it had just been through a minor hurricane.
"Hmm." Diego began, catching her attention. "Always wondered how it would feel to show a beautiful woman the inside of the bedroom. Never thought it would be in a situation like this, though, I'll admit."
Mia laughed for half a second before catching herself. Sadly, this wasn't quite quick enough. Diego had definitely noticed. She looked away, muttering a "Dammit" under her breath.

"You've already seen the kitchen," Diego went on as he left the room again and returned to the hall, "So besides the bathroom, you've seen everything interesting."
