Glynda’s thoughts had begun to drift towards the other members of team RWBY. Along with what Professor Port had told her, she had witnessed certain behaviors herself. Even though she believed what Ruby had told her, one week isn’t a lot of time for a team to work out all their issues. Even though they had done well so far, Glynda felt there was plenty of room for improvement and she was more than willing to help.
But at the moment she had Ruby to tend to. As Sunday morning came around Glynda was awoken by a fussy Ruby who had just woken up herself. “Aww, good morning little RuRu. Is someone ready for breakfast?”
After cleaning her up and wrapping a blanket around her, Glynda settled in for a final round of breastfeeding for the weekend. As much as she enjoyed her two nights with the infant Ruby, the weekend was ending. She had to get Ruby back to normal before the rest of her team returned. Once Ruby was finished and back to her happy, bubbly self, Glynda laid her down on the couch and went to her desk to retrieve the Ray Gun. After she put in the settings she fired at Ruby. She grew back to 15 and was as calm and relaxed as could be.
“I take it you enjoyed yourself Miss Rose?” It brought Glynda joy to see Ruby happy and content. “Ah, I sure did Mo..Ms. Goodwitch.” Ruby started to get embarrassed at that little slip, which Glynda had noticed.
“It’s quite alright Miss Rose, I also rather enjoyed the experience. However this, though a bit unique, is considered a form of therapy. Therefore we both must keep what happens here separate from our roles outside, as teacher and Student. I of course have my duties and you’re a team leader, I trust you understand this.”
Ruby was a bit taken a back by this sudden change of tone after getting coddled for the last two nights. But she did see where Glynda was coming from. “I do, it’s been hard settling in here. But this experience has really helped, so thank you Ms. Goodwitch!”
Glynda gave Ruby an approving yet happy smile back. “You’re quite welcome Miss Rose. Before you go however, I’d like to ask you more about your teammates.”
“Umm, sure. What about them?” Ruby was a bit curious why she had brought them up.
“Well, based on what I have observed in class your team is still struggling to get in sync with each other. From what you told me it sounds like you’ve started to break down some barriers yourselves. But I was wondering if you think any of your other teammates would benefit from this as well.”
Ruby felt a touch of jealousy at the mention of her teammates, a part of her wanted this arrangement with Glynda to stay between the two of them. But then she thought deeper about her team. They’ve only been a team for a week and haven’t had the deepest discussions about their personal lives before Beacon. She just had the basic understanding. Weiss clearly had issues with her family, particularly with her farther. Ruby had overheard a couple of heated phone calls between them.
Even though Blake was cooperative and even the occasional voice of reason when needed, she continued to stick to her books and has yet to share anything about her past. Ruby sometimes got the feeling she was hiding something. Even Yang was a bit of a mystery. Her & Ruby had grown up together and Ruby knew that they had different mothers, but neither Yang or their dad Tai were willing to talk about her.
After this all came back to her, Ruby’s desire to be a good Leader had taken over. “Actually Ms. Goodwitch, I think they would, you’ve really helped me and I’d like them to feel the same.”
Glynda was happy to hear this but kept her excitement hidden from Ruby. “I see, well Miss Rose, I’ll run this by Professor Ozpin. I’m sure he’ll be willing to expand our arrangement to the rest of your team, with the aim of improving your performance of course. Once approved I’d be happy to discuss it with them as a possibility. If they are willing, you can send one of them here next week. Now who would you say would benefit the most at the moment?” | Members who added to this interactive story also contributed to these: |
