Ruby was your typical Red head
Blue-ish green eyed 4 year old
save being short and having some
rather unique friends.
There was her living self aware
odd Teddy Bear called Beary
and a neighbor who was a weird
slightly eccentric yet still friendly inventor.
Today was a seemingly typical day
until she was hungry for a snack.
Ruby went to the kitchen.
Unfortunately when she got there
she ran into an all too common problem!
The snacks were on the counter and
Ruby was of course too short to reach.
Her dad came in to help but after he
did she went to another room and
became sad.
She ate her snack then found
Beary.
“What’s wrong Ruby?”
Ruby took off her boots and socks and
walked over to a table.
“This is what’s wrong”
She stood on her tiptoes and held
her hand on her head.
“I’m sick of being short!
I wish I didn’t have to wait to get
bigger”
Suddenly there was a flash of light and
Ruby + Beary found themselves
next to a lake.
Suddenly a voice spoke to the
pair telepathically about why
they or more specifically Ruby
were brought.
The voice explained about random
things that may shrink or grow her
but that they can’t tell her what does
what.
They tell her though that she will
have to deal with be barefoot and about
the robots and androids here to
assist her and Beary.
Lastly they tell Ruby and Beary that
only Ruby can change and she has
complete freedom here.
The being wishes her luck.
Ruby is overjoyed!
“Oh my gosh yes this means I
Might not have to be short anymore
Beary”
Beary tried to be the voice of reason
but the child was in her own bliss.
