on the promising field of
DNA-engineering.
His former university had
shut down his work as being
unethical, and he'd found himself
without funding.
Biotech Synchronicity Inc.
had approached him, hearing
about his unfortunate situation.
A quick investigation showed
they were backed by a sovereign
wealth fund, and had the backing
of certain members of a certain
foreign sovereign royal family.
The patents on his break-through
treatments were by far the
richer reward, far exceeding
his six-figure salary.
His work had already provided
some very lucrative cures
to previously incurable conditions.
The regression of the cells
to an earlier stage allowed them
to also regrow in a way that
opened up a whole new avenue
of opportunity.
Frankly, it satisfied an unspoken
urge, the untapped power
of the Gods thrilled him more
than he was prepared to
admit in person.
Life was good now and
Professor Mark was riding
high unaware that something
was going to happen soon.
