This choice: Jenn comes over to watch the movie Josh suggested and later study • Go Back...Chapter #11Jenn comes over to Hang out with Josh by: Cardio   Josh had just sat down to play video games when Kim knocked on the door, "Josh, Jenn is here for your study session and movie night." Josh called out, "Thanks mom, you can send her in," and he quickly turned off his game system and checked the mirror to make sure he was presentable. Although now that he was a 4'2" teenage boy with the wardrobe of his 8 year old sister he wasn't exactly sure how he could possibly make himself look cool for Jenn. Pretty soon Kim opened the door and let Jenn into his and Bri's now shared room. "Remember the rules, keep the door open unless Bri is also in the room with you."
"We know Ms. Mitchell, but you'd know that we don't do that kind of stuff, we're just friends." Jenn said as Josh felt the tiniest twitch in his left eye for some reason that he didn't even notice.
Kim left the two of them (and Bri) in the bedroom. "So, what movie did you have in mind this evening? Rom com? Fantasy?"
"I was thinking Sci Fi." Josh said pulling out a time travel movie. Josh was expecting to have the usual fun time of popcorn and a movie that he'd been having with Jenn for years, but apparently the swaps that had been made put a few minor twists into it. For one, every few minutes or so, since Bri basically had to watch too since she shared a room with Josh now, Bri started asking questions and Josh and Jenn had to keep pausing the movie to explain the more complicated plot points to her. And then as they were watching, Josh started to feel uncomfortable with Jenn practically towering over him now. He started to uncomfortably adjust his positioning to try to minimize this effect, but seeing this Jenn kindly offered, "Would you like to sit in my lap?" Josh blushed a deep shade of red and quickly muttered, "I'm good, I'm good," as Bri at the same time started laughing and laughing. Bri started laughing so much she actually choked on some juice she was drinking and ran with her long legs to their shared bathroom to recover.
Seeing this Jenn said in a low voice so Bri wouldn't here, "Your sister is nice and all, but have you talked to your mom about getting your own room?"
Josh thought back to a few hours ago when he swapped rooms with Courtney, "I'm in negotiations for a new room right now. I might have one of my own any day now."
"All right Josh, that's great! Oh, and speaking of good news, just before I came over here I thought of something that I think you'll love."
"Really? What have you got in mind?"
"Well, I was going through some of my old clothes to clear out my closet when I had a thought. A lot of my old elementery school clothes would look so cute on you! You're the perfect size and if you wear my old stuff it'll have a totally cool retro feel at school. Oh I know, while your mom is at Bri's soccer game tomorrow, you should totally come to my house and you can try it all on. It'll be like our own private fashion show! And then after we're done we can study since it doesn't look like we're getting to it today. Doesn't that sound like a plan?"
"That sounds...great." Josh said not wanting to let down Jenn who seemed very proud and excited about this idea of hers. Josh was not as excited, he was dealing with the swaps with Bri because it was different and kind of interesting but something about wearing some other little girl's clothes, even if they were Jenn's seemed a little odd. After Jenn and Josh tentatively agreed to these plans, Bri finally finished recovering from her laughing fit and the three of them finished the movie with a lot of stuff being explained to Bri along the way. Afterwards Jenn went back to her place just as the sun set. It was getting late when Josh went back to his new room and Bri was already her bed getting her rest before her big game tomorrow. Josh knew that there would be no use in waking her up to try and switch everything back so he wouldn't have to be a fashion model for Jenn tomorrow. So he decided to suck it up and went to bed himself as he decided what he was going to do tomorrow thanks to his switching power.
The next day he woke up and was disappointed to see that everyone had already left to go to Bri's game. "Well, I know what I'm doing today." Josh said as he jumped down further from his bed than he was used to, and went to his closet where he dug around and finally settled on a cute pair of overalls, with a yellow flowery shirt, and Bri's princess themed tennis shoes and made his way over to Jenn's house where she was waiting with a box full of clothing that was literally taller than Josh's current height. 'How am I going to get out of this." Josh thought as Jenn happily pulled out a little girl's dress.  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
