After giving it some thought, Asriel decided that it would be best if he head to Snowden. At least there there would be a large area for him to hide in, and he had no fear that anyone would stop him and take him back to his mother.
Smiling, Asriel said: "To Snowden."
The goat boy hopped on the little boat, which caused the back to dip deeply and the front to rise greatly due to his heavy bulk, but it stayed afloat and it began to sail towards Snowden.
"Tra la la la!" the Ferryman sang, "Oh no! My boat is sinking! Or perhaps my load is heavier than I anticipated."
Asriel frowned, folding his thick arms and giving a snort in irritation, catching the obvious reference to his weight. A few minutes later Asriel arrived at his destination, and he hopped off, the boat's front falling back into the water, sending waves splashing everywhere.
"Thanks," Asriel said, waving as the Ferryman left.
The goat boy turned to the stairs that led to Snowden, and he couldn't help but shiver, then spit his padding. It was very cold here, his warm breath steaming in the freezing air.
Clutching both his upper arms, he began to try and warm it up with friction as he began to climb the stairs. But that wasn't necessary. After he climbed to the top Asriel was already feeling hot, panting.
He pulled at his skin-tight shorts, which was beginning to ride up on him due to all the movement. Asriel honestly needed bigger clothes, and he finally decided that he would get just that here in Snowden.
After catching his breath, the goat boy began to head towards the small town, following a snow-covered road that ran through the woods. But as he waddled, he began to grow uneasy, for he felt that he was being watched.
He looked around nervously, swearing every now and then that he saw a dark figure dart between the trees. He heard a twig snap, followed by the sound of feet scurrying away, and Asriel turned around, trying to locate the source of the noise.
"I-is anyone t-there?" he called, afraid.
Asriel suddenly felt his back bump into something, and he could tell that it wasn't a rock or tree. He gasped, going stiff, too afraid to turn around.
"Hey there, kid," said someone, "Don't you know how to say "Hi"."
Asriel whirled around as fast as his corpulent body would allow him, and he came face to face with his stalker: a short, grinning skeleton who had his hand extended in greeting.
Asriel relaxed, and he extended his hand as well, saying: "Hi, my name's Asriel."
"Nice to meet you," he said, "I'm Sans, Sans the skeleton."
Sans gripped Asriel hand, and the goat boy felt a electrical shock go through him. He yelped, pulling his hand away.
"Sorry," said Sans, "Just wanted to see if my buzzer worked...Say, you said that you're Asriel, right? Toriel and King Flubbybuns kid?"
The goat boy nodded.
Sans' grin grew even wider, and he said: "That's great! We don't get much visits from royalty. Say, you're far from home. Why is that?"
Asriel's drooping belly began to rumble, and he clutched it with both hands, as if he was trying to silence it. "It's a long story," he said.
"Alright then," he said, "But it sounds like you're a bit hungry over there."
Asriel nodded and shivered. "And cold," he added.
"Hey, why don't you come to my house," Sans said, growing sympathetic, "it's warm there, and I'm pretty sure my brother wouldn't mind if you try his spaghetti and meatballs. That's if you can stomach his cooking."
Asriel smiled, grateful for the offer, and he said, "That'll be nice. Thank you."
"Don't mention it," said Sans, and they began to walk.
"Say, kid, you're a bit bigger than I expected," Sans said after a while.
Asriel blushed a bit, biting his lower lip again. He knew that it would be only a matter of time before his large figure is noticed.
"Yeah, my mom's pies kinda made me fat," Asriel said.
"I won't say fat," Sans said, "I would rather say...big boned."
O, bad puns. Asriel couldn't help but giggle a bit. They continue to make there way down the path, the lights of Snowden coming into view.
