Dad placed a light hand on Joe's shoulder, startling her and she spun around to face him who then gave a patient smile. "The first transformation is always the hardest to endure, dear boy." Calmly, dad said. "However, with each one, it becomes harder for a witch to change you."
Joe teared up. "Ina and Tia..."
"Are only seven, Joe." Calmly, dad interrupted. "They do not yet fully understand the possible consequences their actions might bring them." He chuckled. "Patience is a necessary trait when learning the wonders of chaotic science."
Joe tilted her head to the side. "Chaotic... what?"
"The power that you have as opposed to your mother's and sister's magic." patiently, dad explained. "When you begin to show more patience, I will take you under my wing and show you the world you are destined to conquer and rule."
He then turned and walked away, chuckling to himself before vanishing at the doorway. Joe shivered then turned to you. "That was creepy." Disturbed, she said. "Can you change me back to normal, if there is a normal here anymore?"
"I can change you back to normal, Joe." Serious, mom said. "However, there is the issue of the recital, thanks to your little sisters." She sighed, seeing Joe tearing up more.
She wanted to tell her that changing her back and forth from boy to girl with so little time in between carried a certain risk but she knew Joe was not in the mood to listen. She turned to you, hoping for some help.
"The twins did not give you a good girl experience." Eying Ina and Tia, you said. "You are going to be stuck as you are at least until tomorrow, thanks to them. Why don't I show you some good points about being a girl."
"Why don't I show you some good points about being a boy?" Irritated, Joe countered.
