This choice: She doesn't trust Vados and wants kale to test it • Go Back... Caulifla continued to stare at the vile long after Vados had gone. With this holy liquid she'd have no mortal equal in the entire universe? Was that... even possible?
Kale watched her mentor/best friend with concern. "Sis?"
It sounded to good to be true. Become the strongest in the universe with a single sip? Caulifla's eyes narrowed at the vile. Phooey! This had to be some kind of trick. She wouldn't put anything past that angel and fat cat. Clearly there was some kind of deception at play here.
"Preposterous!" she shouted, startling Kale. Her grip tightened around the offending vile. "Become the strongest in the universe with a single sip? Impossible! I will not be deceived!"
Kale soon recovered and eyed the vile wearily. "W-What if it isn't a trick?"
Her words caught herself and Caulifla off guard. She wasn't normally one to disagree with her friend, especially when she was in a mood. "I-I mean, why would Vados come all this way just to trick you?"
"Because she works for the cat and you remember how sore he gets when he loses. We lost so he probably wants to get a little payback. Wouldn't surprise me if he tried something similar on Hit, Cabba, or Frost."
Kale found it hard to argue with that logic. Master Champa could be a bit hypocritical and spiteful when he didn't get his way. Not only that, but Caulifla made a good point in that Vados would do whatever he asked of her within reason.
"I guess so... but still-"
"Look..." Caulifla cut off. "I don't trust it, her, or the cat. If you think it's so legit, then you drink it."
Kale suddenly found the vile in her hands after Caulifla tossed it. The liquid inside seemed to almost glow in her grasp. She did think it was for real and Caulifla just challenged her to drink it. The young Saiyan gulped.
"Well...?"
Kale began to feel anxious. Something about this whole situation didn't sit right, but she couldn't just turn down a challenge. Besides, if it helped her friend then she'd do it. Despite her better judgement she began to reach for the cork. It popped off with ease and she could smell the sweet smell of the divine liquid.
"It smells like maple." she commented internally.
That made her feel a little better. She liked maple. She snapped her eyes shut, and downed the vile. Every last drop.
Caulifla watched her friend chug the vile until it was empty and she couldn't help but smirk when the meek girl let out an unlady-like belch.
"Excuse me!" she blushed.
"So... do you feel anything?" Caulifla asked.
Kale placed a hand to her stomach. "Not really."
Caulifla's smile turned smug. "I told you so. It was just a... trick?"
"Aooohhh!" Kale groaned. She could feel something bubbling in the pit of her stomach. "Hey sis? I think I..."
Before Caulifla could say anything further, she was suddenly blasted away by a massive storm of energy! She crashed hard into a tree, snapping it in half and winced from the slight pain.
"AHHHHHH!!!!!"
When Caulifla finally pulled herself from the tree she could see and hear her protégé scream as she began to power up. The older Saiyan's eyes widened when she felt the power bubbling with =in her friend, it felt endless.
"AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!"
A familiar yellow and greenish glow began to surround her and Caulifla stood frozen at the sight of Kale's transformation. Her thin body began to expand as her muscles began to grow and strain her clothes. Her hair grew as well and turned wild and untamed as it shifted to blonde.
Her pupils then disappeared, signifying to Caulifla to a startling realization. She'd lost control, just like when she first fought Goku. "Kale!? Kale!? You have to stop powering up!"
"AAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!"
She couldn't hear her. Her screaming drowned her out. Kale's veins began to bulge and her height was starting to increase! Oh boy was it increasing. She had to be twice as big as she was during the tournament.
"KALE!? KALE!?" Caulifla tried. Why was this happening? Was it the vile? It had to be? Just what had that angel given her? What had she just dared Kale to drink?
The glow around her body increase tenfold and soon the untransformed Saiyan's vision turned white. All she could feel was limitless power and hear the almighty scream of her best friend. Then... all was silent.
Power hung in the air, but when Caulifla's vision cleared her eyes threatened to leave her skull. Up and down she looked at Kales now massive body. "What have I done?"
All she could hear now was laughter. Kale's mad laughter.
